Show yourself off in women leather jackets!

The thing about women leather jackets is that they're diverse -- almost uniquely so among women's fashion.

There are few materials that keep you warmer than leather, and women's jacket makers realized that centuries ago. But leather jackets are more than just a way to keep warm: if that were all that mattered, they'd all look more or less the same. The fact that they don't is a testimony to the mutability of fashion and the flexibility of this most natural of fabrics.

Today, there are almost as many leather jacket styles as there are women wearing them.

This jacket or that

Because leather can be dyed, any color is possible, though of coarse night-black and natural brown are most popular. Women's styles vary from sleeveless vest to bomber jacket to just about anything in between.

Oh, and what kind of leather do you prefer? Suede is a big seller, as are calfskin, cowhide, sheepskin, sauvage, coated, full-grain, buckskin, pigskin...the list is almost endless. Considering the diversity, it's hard for women to complain that they just can find the right kind of leather jacket.

Looking good in leather

Leather requires a bit more care than most fabrics, usually involving stinky sprays, and can stain in wet weather; however, than only adds to the character. Properly treated, leather jackets (both women's and men's) can last for decades. If you're looking for economy, fortunately leather jackets come in a variety of prices. You can get some, like attractive Italian jobs sewn together from small leather pieces, for less than $50. Other jackets might cost you more, but considering their long lives, the price will be worth it in the long run.
